Understand Templates

Templates are reusable designs that automatically display your content across multiple pages. Instead of designing each page individually, you create one template that works for many pages.

Why Use Templates?​

Build once, use everywhere. A blog post template can display hundreds of different posts - each with its own title, content, and images - without recreating the design each time.

Save massive amounts of time. Instead of designing 50 product pages individually, create one product template that automatically works for all products.

Keep your site consistent. When visitors move between your blog posts, they see the same layout and navigation, making your site feel professional and organized.

Update everywhere at once. Change your template design and every page using that template updates automatically.

Common template types:​

  • Homepage - Your site's front page
  • Blog Posts - Individual articles and posts
  • Pages - About, Contact, Services pages
  • Archives - Blog categories, tag pages, search results
  • 404 Error - Page not found

How Builderius Templates Work​

Builderius works with WordPress's template system but lets you design visually instead of coding. You create templates in Builderius's admin area and assign them to different parts of your site.

Example: Design one "Product" template in Builderius, assign it to display all products, and WordPress automatically shows the right product information on each page.

When to Create Templates vs Individual Pages​

Create a template when:​

  • Multiple pages share the same layout (all blog posts, all products, all team member profiles)
  • You want consistency across similar content
  • You plan to add more pages of the same type

Create individual pages when:​

  • The page is unique (homepage, about page, contact form)
  • The layout doesn't repeat anywhere else
  • You need complete custom control
